House Fire Investigated As Arson
A fire reported at an Ethridge home in the early hours New Year’s Day is believed to have been intentionally ignited.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to a Brewer Road home sometime after 1:00 a.m. The residents reported they had been away, returning to find the interior of the home filled with smoke.
Authorities said it appeared fires had been set in two separate spots inside the kitchen. Inspectors with the state Fire Marshall’s office were on scene Thursday, collecting evidence as authorities continue the investigation.
